Today we're announcing a huge leap in gaming for Apple Silicon - you can now play AAA games on Fedora Asahi Remix! The Fedora Asahi SIG is grateful to work closely with the @[email protected] project on making this possible. This work leads the way for us to enable gaming on all Fedora Arm systems down the line! @[email protected] I have a MBP 16” M1 Pro and the hardware is great, but as I’ve said many times over the years, MacOS is a turd of an OS! All I still need from #AsahiLinux is Thunderbolt support and I’ll be able to use it full time. Bless the Asahi Linux team!

You've heard of this little thing called Asahi Linux right? Don't miss your chance to see a demo of Fedora Asahi Remix in action tomorrow at SCaLE! https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/21x/exhibit-hall-1 Also, catch two talks from Fedora contributors happening tomorrow: - Making Fedora Linux (more) reproducible https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/21x/presentations/making-fedora-linux-more-reproducible - Popping kernels for Linux distributions https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/21x/presentations/popping-kernels-linux-distributions #AsahiLinux #Asahi #FedoraAsahi #Fedora #Linux #SCaLE21x #SCaLE

As part of the news that @[email protected] is shipping the first conformant GPU driver for Apple silicon, you can also get access to this via the Fedora Asahi Remix! Additionally, the Fedora Asahi SIG will need to work past the end of August to finish polishing the official release. No more breaking changes are expected between now and release time, however.
