#introduction I'm new here. Really digging the vibes so far!
I'm a #parent, a #feminist, and an #environmentalista to the bone. #ReduceReuseRecycle is practically my religion. I practice allyship. #BlackLivesMatter #LGBTQIA #StopAsianHate
We live in #SanFrancisco. I've been an EA in #tech for ~15 years. That's no longer fulfilling so I'm switching careers. Building/creating, solving problems, and physical activities rule the roost. "fixiemama" refers to my history of riding fixed gear. 🚴🏻♀️
Alright, I’m here. Let’s see how this goes: I’m Mike, a 30-something geek from Toronto.
I’m into #games #ttrpgs and #sciencefiction #fantasy. You’ll catch me talking about #dnd #pbta and other #rpgs, and nerding out about #starwars and #startrek.
I believe in #transrights #humanrights #blacklivesmatter #climateaction and #unionstrong. I also believe that the way we improve things is through #progressive #education, #anticapitalism, and #mutualaid

➡️ One of the best things about Tw was/is finding interesting ppl and can read and connect with, without having to belong to that group. W/o Tw, I would never have had the chance to easily find & read about aerosols and the hundreds of other interesting topics.
🌟Now, I continue to hope that I can do it here on Mastodon. Still new, but it is looking good! 👍🎉

➡️ It was on Tw that I saw Black ppl encouraging others to go see “Crazy Rich Asians”, to show up for Asians. And vice versa, Asians encouraged others to go see “Black Panther”. To support each other.
😭😭❤️
I'm just remembering some of the good things about Tw. And I expect to see good things on Mastodon, too.

I have been using #Linux since I leaned #Gentoo in 2004. I've done end user desktop support, #Windows & Active Directory administration, Linux administration, networking, firewalling, a touch of programming, and a boat load of scripting in bash, #PowerShell, and #Python.
