Finally got #Ceph RBD reliably working in #Rancher #Harvester VMs. Volumes, snapshots, backups, migrations, etc. are all working now against an external Ceph cluster alongside the native Longhorn.

It's been zero days since #ceph and #xfs got in a fight and xfs lost.

Dreamed last night about configuring and deploying cephfs. Was frustrated when I woke up and still had to actually then go and do it first thing at work this morning. #ceph

Today I fixed a bug in #Ceph dashboard locally (which was interesting to do since the cherrypi has autoreload off and it's containerized). The bug is still in main branch, so I might submit a PR for it. Literally one line of #Python fixes a problem I spent hours debugging.

Today's adventure: Seeing how well #Rancher and #Ceph play together. An unstoppable force meets an immovable object (store).
