【基本文型】 ・単語に時制がないので時系列は文脈で判断する ・てにをは（助詞）もないので順序が大事 そうなんだ！？確かに翻訳で文作ってる時、時制が再現できなくて困ってたわ　ないのね ・英語と似た語順。SVO ・否定文なら動詞や形容詞の前に「不（bu）」を置く ・疑問文はSVの順はそのまま、文末に「嗎？」 を置く ・主語+形容詞だと後に文が続く形になる。完結させるには間に副詞を入れる。 #勉強ドン #Chinese

・be動詞はある「是 shi」 これを使うことで名詞を述語にした文である「名詞述語文」が作れる。 この時使える名詞は、年齢・時間・出身地など 「是」は肯定文では省略できるが、否定文、疑問文では省略できない。 否定文では「不是」と書く #勉強ドン #Chinese

@[email protected] This is incredibly romantic stuff. In 41 stanzas the pair go from flirting to full-on love in an organic growth. I will be re-reading this chapter a few times more before continuing so I can get the finer points of this conversation by song.

This is the pivotal point of the story and it was surprisingly touching. And I called it: the entire point of the previous three chapters was to build up to E'bing's arrival in the story: she's explicitly compared to earlier encounters.

@[email protected] The next chapter is one I probably should have done together with chapter 7, given that it's basically the flip side of that chapter's narrative. This update will be shorter as a result. In chapter 8, after waiting for the proper time (moonrise), spinning thread (and concealing a stool for him beneath her skirts¹) in the mean time, Sangluo and E'bing meet again to sing their love to each other. #Dai #Chinese #folklore

This is the chapter in which E'bing is introduced and, as expected, given the huge build-up of how every girl wants Sangluo, she is herself the most beautiful woman in the story. She is "whiter than cotton¹" and "gentler than clouds". #Chinese #Dai #folklore
