❔❓❔ A Question for anyone familiar with Canadian Elections Law. How is it legal for someone without any Security Clearance to become Prime Minister!? Shouldn't that be a automatic disqualified!? And if it's not legal, who's willing to take this on and Defend Canadian Democracy!? 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 #Canada #Canadian #Democracy #Legal #theLaw #PrimeMinister #SecurityClearance #CSIS #PeePee #ConJob #NeverVoteConsetvative #Traitor

Satire is dead. #TheAtlantic with an article stating that #democracy died behind paywalls. That article is - behind a #paywall.

Property and Contract in #Economics: The Case for Economic Democracy by David Ellerman This book makes 2 arguments. 1. The employment contract is the core of the #capitalism rather than private property 2. The employment contract is invalid because it violates #WorkersRights to #democracy in the firm. All firms should be structured as worker #coops for economic justice https://www.ellerman.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Ellerman-Property-and-Contract-Book.pdf @[email protected] #books #philosophy #ethics #anticapitalism #capitalist #anticapitalist #BusinessEthics

#Fascism isn’t a switch you throw. It isn’t an on/off proposition. It’s more like a vessel you fill. Or a house that floods. Right now we’re in the attic because the water has taken the floors below. Soon we’ll be on the roof. After that… #uspol #democracy

Democracy was never meant to be run by election bc it is too easily corrupted by oligarchs. It was always meant to be by sortition & there is a longer history to that & it's success, than this version of 'democratic' elections which is failing us & fallen to #oligarchs as was known & expected by Athenians. Aristotle said #elections were aristocratic & we're seeing that right down to dynasties. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sortition#History #politics #government #sortition #democracy #democratic #peoplepower

@[email protected] “ Erdogan should be stopped, 20 years of more and more autocratic rule is enough. He owns more than 90% of the press and has jailed all voices critical to him. These are not free elections at all…” Absolutely. #erdogan #turkey #freedom #freespeech #humanrights #democracy

“ Erdogan looks set to cement his hold on Turkey – in an election where he’s made all the rules” Not exactly a democracy if one candidate has that much influence on the rules of the election. #erdogan #turkey #democracy #freedom #humanrights https://apple.news/Abt3mRXXjQ1CzNfdLOh0a8w

Friends: False equivalence and demoralization are fascist gold. The MAGA set badly want you to give up any sense of idealistic striving. They need you to believe that the system is rotten and degraded. Once the full promise of democracy has been undercut, nobody objects to its being discarded. That’s their plan: to sully everything in the political imagination until the majority relinquish any claim to something better than their violence and sadism. #politics #democracy #MAGA #fascism

#introduction: I am a Chilean computer scientist at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, researching #SemanticWeb, #DataScience, #KnowledgeGraphs, and #Databases. I write about multiple topics (también en español). I am also interested in #OpenData, #Ecology, #Society, #Democracy, and #Art.

I'm a political scientist whose current work focuses on protest activity in the U.S. I'm here to follow indie journos and others who report on those events, and to find and share relevant work by scholars and practitioners. I also have a long-standing research interest in democracy that now, sadly, intersects with that work on U.S. protests. And I'm antifascist. #protest #democracy #journalism #introduction
