If you're American, when you were taught cursive, did you learn that the common American #cursive is called "Spencerian" script? I did not learn this until I got into #fountainpens later in life and initially thought it was some British thing like "Edwardian" or "Elizabethan" calligraphy. #writing #America #USA

I really need to sell some #fountainpens. I have over 100 and only actually use about 5 of them any more. I would rather sell them and they go somewhere that they'll get used.

The two I use most often are Pilot VP Decimo and a copper Kaweco Liliput. I generally use at least one of those every day. I have other pens I like more for writing, but I'm in a different place in life than I was a few years ago when I was writing for 3-4 hour stretches at a time.

I've done some digging and found out about "Super 5" #fountainpens. I haven't heard of these before. There's an art supply store in the Kreuzberg area that seems to carry the fountain pens and ink. Who would have thought that I would be putting 3 years of #German in high school to use reading websites I found on Google maps looking for fountain pens? https://papierlabor.de/marken/super5/

My most regularly used #fountainpens, in order of regularity of use:

1. Kaweco Liliput, copper, extra fine steel nib
2. Pilot Lady, extra fine gold nib
3. Pilot Custom Heritage 912, FA nib, aftermarket ebonite feed

The Kaweco will go months without drying out and can live in my jeans pocket. The 912 is big and thirsty and that's why I'll more often grab the Lady for longer writing sessions.
