The machine does not understand what it is doing. It mindlessly copies material based largely on the statistical over-representation of certain subjects within the training set. An example is their propensity to put cooked salmon into images of fish in rivers, or to "sign" images with meaningless squiggles. Their "learning," unlike yours, is frozen in a particular state and unable to evolve. Humans are never trapped in such a state.
