The machine does not understand what it is doing. It mindlessly copies material based largely on the statistical over-representation of certain subjects within the training set. An example is their propensity to put cooked salmon into images of fish in rivers, or to "sign" images with meaningless squiggles. It does not understand what it is doing because it does not have the self-awareness necessary to integrate the disparate information it is handling. #IndieArt #IndieMusic #AI #Art #AIArt

We cannot even say they are "dumb"--there is no "they!" Given the same prompt and seed number, you can generate the exact same image as someone else, ...you can even reverse engineer the prompt if you have the image and seed number. Their "learning," unlike yours, is frozen in a particular state and unable to evolve. Humans are never trapped in such a state. We are always advancing our world view and filtering through lenses of emotion and mood unique to conscious beings, which an AI is not. #AIArt #AIMusic #Art #AI #MusicProduction #IndieArt

A human will view the image of another artist in a thousand different ways on any given day based on their mood, focus, beliefs, and lived human experience. They will understand parts of an image differently according to recent insights.
