I set myself the task to design and print 50 birds using a custom LEGO letterpress technique. This was in 2018. Figured it would take a year or so. I finished the last print earlier this year :-D Presenting the complete series for the first time in an exhibiton in the workplace where the prints were made. Opening this weekend: https://royscholten.nl/50-birds/ Come! :-) _ #letterpress #printmaking #LEGOletterpress #MastoArt #birds

Made a zine documenting the design and production process for two of the bird prints in #LEGOletterpress. Always interesting to once more work through and review the steps it took to arrive at the end result. _ #zine #printmaking #letterpress

Printed proofs of The Book! Making the prints and writing down what we wanted to say about them is one thing, turning all of that into a beautiful book is quite the other. Very much looking forward to the end result! _ #LegoLetterpress #printmaking #letterpress #book #art #50vogels

Ah, #PortfolioDay, I'm Roy, a printmaker from The Netherlands. I make etchings, monoprints and especially letterpress prints using LEGO bricks. My portfolio site is in Dutch, but the visuals should be readable :) Working on a multilingual update for that. https://grafiek.royscholten.nl/ _ #printmaking #artist #letterpress
