...figuring out what to request specifically I reached out for my ISP and they luckily could provide me with everything I needed and even unlocked it within one hour only. I used this telephone call to also upgrade my upload bandwidth to 50 Mbit/s, what should give me the opportunity to host some more traffic intense services on my home server and therefore don't need to outsource this to a #VPS. It's strenuous but I am sure the resulting opportunities will be rewarding. #selfhosting #server

Things moving quickly now. 😃 Don't know how, but somehow I just managed to do a short test stream on my self hosted #Owncast server. After all the issues I had during the last days with my #RaspberryPi and my Internet Service Provider to get my server running , it was so invigorating to set up Owncast with such ease. Thanks @[email protected] for the great software and the easy to follow documentation. Didn't expect the installation being that easy. 👌 #selfhosting #streaming #fediverse

I have cancelled all but one of my streaming video subscriptions in an effort to save money. I wanted to watch a certain movie but didn’t have a physical or digital copy, and didn’t want to purchase it. Suddenly, I remembered that libraries exist. Today I walked to the library and checked out a few movies on Blu-ray and DVD. For free. I feel strangely powerful. Support - and use - your local library. #streaming #library #physicalMedia #DVD #Bluray #saveMoney

Hi, about time I do an #introduction post! I'm not a migrating bird, haven't done much on social networks. I hope to find that warm "turn of the century Internet" feeling on mastodon. I may post an occasional #photo or engage in some tech topics on #linux, #FOSS, #programming, #privacy, #scifi or #gamingonlinux. Other interests include #hiking, #camping, #fishing and some #bushcraft stuff. In my day job I solve problems related to #video #streaming with #golang, #python or #unix #shell.

CW: Introduction
Felt it was time to refresh my #introduction post, so here we go... Hi! My name is Erin. My pronouns are they/them. I am a #neurospicy #trans #femby nerd. I love #science & #tech, and while I do post about those topics occasionally, I mostly use the #fediverse as a place to share experiences, funny #memes, lewdness (with CW ofc), or general shouts into the void. Also, I am a lurker by heart, and I don't post often, but I am a prolific booster, so there's rarely a time that my feed is inactive. Anyway, hope you send a follow request, and I'll see you around! :QueerCatHeart_Trans:

I feel like my first #introduction wasn’t great. So I made a new #intro! My name is Clayton and I'm a high school math teacher! I love playing #videogames, #books (feel free to ask what I'm reading), listening to #podcasts and #audiobooks on my commute, and #streaming. When I’m not doing any of that, I’ve been trying to learn how to #draw and I practice my #photography. I’m playing #EldenRing, #CS, or #battlebit usually! Et j’aime parler le #français :) #bookstodon #french

#EveryDeathIsAPushUp #Streaming rules
◾Applies to all games whether they're PvE, PvP or a mix.
◾A death for the purposes of this challenge is when the game's measure of your health reaches zero.
◾1 death = 1 push-up.
◾Push-ups are to be done before the next gaming session and after the current gaming session.
◾Any in-game scenario that results in a lost but where you had no deaths adds 5 push-ups to the current count.

We finished viewing Mrs. Davis on Peacock last night. We both liked it a lot. One of those series where the pieces may not add up to a whole, but along the way it’s one hell of a journey. Playing with AI, Faith, and family relationships the way it does, along with all of the other gonzo stuff in this show, makes it quite a ride. But you have to surrender to the journey. #MrsDavis #streaming
