Any #Plan9 or #9front expert on fedi? I heard a lot about it and few days ago when I spotted a new release of the [9front](http://9front.org/releases/2026/08/02/0/) and there was #qcow2 #QEMU images, I started to look at it. However I never get the #rio #GUI session to work. Folks, need help. I’m a lightroom refugee and ever since moving to Linux, I have done nothing with my photos. My main use of Lightroom was the RAW processing and the catalog While I can wait for the editing/processing stuff, the browsing folders to get at a photo, is getting to me. Can Digikam or Shotwell handle large collections of photos? Does it work well for a serious amateur photographer, who has a large volume of photos in various RAW formats? The firefox @-moz-document css at-selector stopped working for me, effectively disabling the all-site userChrome.css. I thought Ι could write a GreaseMonkey script that'd load a stylesheet from disk (the file path would contain the domain name), but the common way of appending a stylesheet is creating a <link rel=style> in <head>. And putting file:// in the document cannot pass security. Can someone help? #askFedi #CSS #JS

Enriched in a list of vulnerabilities known to be present in the software shown to be used by the user. Note that 'can gather' is a very vague expression ;) Both for educational purposes for those unconcerned with data privacy and to check the effectiveness of extensions and see how bad browsers are. #askfedi #privacy

Alright Fediverse, I'm kind of losing my mind with this. The Macbook I brought home runs Linux fine, except the damn WiFi. I haven't had to deal with this in years and am rusty. Im thinking about replacing my NAS with #Glusterfs. But I’m not sure about one usecase. My NAS serves NFS storage to a KVM host. On the NFS are qcow images. The performance isn’t great but perfectly acceptable for what I do. Would that still work with Glusterfs or would the constant sync of data in the background be too much? #askfedi #askmastodon
