I almost feel bad for people who call themselves "AI artists" or "auto-artists."
They have no idea what it's like to experience the labor of creation.
They will never know what it's like to spend a year, two years, five years, or decades, honing a craft, developing a relationship with their artistry, searching deep inside themselves for what it is they have to say, and then saying it with all their might.
They are like someone walking into a crowded room, pointing to a fully grown stranger and claiming, "I raised this person from childhood! I am a parent!"
Obviously, they are lying. To the world, to the stranger, and to themselves. There is something tragic in that.
