Jamming out to some Sierra Hull this morning. That, paired with a good strong cup of coffee, makes for an excellent start to the day.

#Bluegrass #music is the baby of Irish folk and jazz. Here are some examples of Doc Watson where one leans stronger to the Irish folk sound and the other to the #jazz side:

After a day of remove, I think this isn't too bad - it took me more time than I'd like to get an uninterrupted take, playing 3 long, mostly unique, improvised solos back-to-back is kinda hard... It's the back-to-back aspect, my concentration starts to falter and I start making mistakes that I wouldn't otherwise. Something to work on.
Here's a bit of Frank Wakefield's New Camptown Races.

Its not country... but in the late 90s I briefly encountered an album by a gay #bluegrass group. I can't remember their name, and I can't find a scrap about gay bluegrass in the Internet.
I would love to hear it again!
