#Climate Another stat that just boggles the mind. The US has ~94 GigaWatts of nuclear power installed. China, last year alone, installed 216 GW of solar. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-01-26/china-added-more-solar-panels-in-2023-than-us-did-in-its-entire-history

Oh and the US has 175 GW of solar installed in total. So once again China has installed more solar in one year than the US has already installed in total.

I have long been of the opinion that economists’ estimations of ‘acceptable’ global warming were dangerously naive. Here's some good news. You often hear that so-and-so much #GlobalWarming is "baked in", that is, the world keeps on warming on the #GreenhouseGases already emitted. "The best available evidence shows that, on the contrary, warming is likely to more or less stop once #CarbonDioxide (CO2) #emissions reach zero, meaning humans have the power to choose their #climate future."
