Usually I go straight in with ink, no under drawing, and just keep drawing until the page feels full or I am tired, with very little actual planning. This time I did some rough sketches to select from for some of the finished ones, as well as pencil under drawings. I also had to think again about how these things will present in the real world, hanging on a wall, something I haven't done in a long time. Last week I I learned about an open call that is possibly relevant to my interests and that gave me a pretext to take the time to do a few "actually finished" drawings, and start some more that will hopefully still get finished in time. Such a pleasure to have whole days devoted to nothing else! So good to have the energy to draw for more than 2-3 hours/day again! But also, such a different workflow to my usual quick & dirty sketching.
