I read aloud where it showed the payer is responsible for this. I had to tell them they were the payer.
3. Then bc I mentioned 'employee' in the part I was responsible for, was quick to deny again, with ignorance...
she said: cpp-d is not an employment benefit.
Me: yes it is.
She: it's a public benefit (more eager to deny than learn & help.)
Me: it's a public benefit that ONLY workers get. Many disabled people do not get it. (really it's a pension..I paid into, they don't know the basics.) 7/7

TLDR: If you got a lump sum cumulative payment from CPP-D Contact your MP (this is the only way, though you can try yourself to get this T1198 form filled out by Service Canada) & an accountant to ensure you get the taxes you paid back-distributed over those years & very likely a lot of $$ will be returned to you. They have to fill out a T1198 for the lump sump payment so CPP-D recipient can file taxes. Literally no one at Service Canada knows about this. They gaslit me. Sent me to CRA who sent me back to the payer which is CPP-D & service canada. They don't know or do their job.
I was tossed back & forth for ages w. nothing resolved.
This entire practise is stealing, exhausting, making disabled people just to do the interoffice work of taking a paper from one federal department to give to another. 4/7

One guy put my social insurance on a post-it. Took photocopy of my ID. How does that make me safer from people I had no choice but to call out for their incompetence? Having the document done automatically, sent to me, or direct to CRA is MORE private. They make us do their tax collection, & understand their system better than they do, & don't even listen & are rude when we tell them, while they get paid to still deny service & steal from us. #CPP #DisabilityRights #Disabled #cdnpoli

CPP-D is stealing many billions of dollars from disabled people through denial of services they are legally responsible for & through complete service incompetence or willful fraud are robbing the poorest & most tired. There needs to be an investigation but also a class action.
