Just a reminder: If you follow me, you’ll probably see a lot of posts related to #hashtagGames on your feed. If this annoys you, find one of the posts with the #hashTagGames hashtag, click on the hashtag, and select “Mute #HashTagGames”. Problem solved! #FediTips #Mastodon

The best thing I ever did to improve my fedi experience, is use these ublock rules to autoblock images without alt text.

tech.lgbt##article div.media-gallery img:not([alt]):upward(div.status)
tech.lgbt##article div.media-gallery img[alt=""]:upward(div.status)

Y’all gotta hashtag like it’s 2011 here. There’s no way anyone will find your posts otherwise. #Feditips #Mastodon

If you want your local media outlets to open fedi accounts, maybe post links to their stories, so the people monitoring site stats see incoming traffic from here. #feditips

Any idea why I can't see a someone I know's post? They're on mastodon.social and I'm not, but when I see their profile I get "Older posts from other servers are not displayed", but it was posted a couple hours ago 🤔 After searching for the post specifically and interacting with it I can see it now, but why couldn't I before? #feditips #twittermigration

Are you new here? Giving this place another try? Welcome! I've been here for a few months and the best advice I've gotten so far is: Follow a lot of people. Like a lot. Like way more than you would have on the other site. If you're worried about losing track of certain people/issues in the flood of your Home feed, use lists (and the advanced view on the web interface): https://mastodon.social/@design_law/109358875682926700 #FediTips #MastoTips
