Just finished up a Moby Dick commission. This project was right up my alley - nerdy, detail oriented, multi step. I’m going to do a few posts for it because there’s a lot of detail. I hand bleached the fabric and used 1700s illustrations as well as descriptions from the book for reference. And it didn’t feel right to make the whale without Captain Ahab!
