Tip for #singleuser or small instance users: The biggest disadvantage of small instances is the dead federated timeline. Instance admins can subscribe to the classic #relays, but this comes at a high price such as high resource usage and too much noise, depending on the relay. It's either all or nothing. Instead you can populate your federated timeline by following the #FediBuzz relays. They can be followed as normal users and boost posts based on the hashtag, instance or even language. Here are a few examples: @tag-fediverse@relay.fedi.buzz (boosts the #fediverse hashtag from all instances) @instance-jasdemi.com@relay.fedi.buzz (boosts everything from my instance, jasdemi.com) @language-it@relay.fedi.buzz (boosts only posts in Italian language from all instances) Now before you follow any relays, I suggest creating an alt account as this will make you home timeline very noisy. With your main account you can now check out the federated timeline or follow hashtags. More info here: https://relay.fedi.buzz/ #fediadmin #gotosocial #sharkey #mastodon #feditip #selfhosted

Relay Announcement No. 3 My relay is one that uses an allow-list, so you need to contact me before adding it. If any of you had issues before this, the previous software i was using, looked like it worked but it only worked with me and one other person, we've resolved these issues now. Though, you may have to go and delete this relay from your relay AND instance table if you added this relay more than a week ago. Since some instance software will decide to never try connecting again after enough failures. Anyways, I'm mainly looking to add queer ppl, who love cartoons (whether it be western, eastern (anime, or donghua or anything else really)), art, and cutesy things. Also, doesn't mind kink art either. You must be okay with BL and GL works, but it's not exclusively for that either. Small or single user instances are preferred. info: https://relay.indulgent.art mastodon and misskey users (and derivatives): https : / / relay.indulgent.art/inbox Pleroma (and derivatives): https: / / relay.indulgent.art/actor #relay #anime #Weeb #relays #otaku #lgbt #queer #manga #cartoons #donghua
