Hi y’all 👋 I thought I’d do a new intro post, given the influx of users. Living in #Michigan, I’m into #goats, #gardening, #simpleliving, #seedsaving, #solarpunk, and exploring the tension between #tech and #nature.
Here to find a community of creative folks who are into #degrowth, #DIY, #solar, #privacy, and #sustainability. Let’s swap seeds, thoughts, and maybe a few wild ideas! 😁🌱💻☀️
Economic growth can never satisfy us because our aspirations are the transcendental in the ordinary.
There's nothing to escape from, nowhere to escape to. And we certainly won't get there with more oil.

New account ( previously @[email protected] ), reposting my #solarpunk digital art. 2019-2020
Even though it's digital, this still fits in my fine art journey. Since then, I've mostly tried to reach the same quality of work but with traditional art.

A ship from the past, oil on panel, 2018.
This was the culmination of years of reading about ecology, collapse, and low tech, + my experience sailing on historical ships 100 years old.

New account, same old bear. 🔆 🐻
Moving from koyu.space to here due to the shutdown. Thought about hosting my own, but decided against it at the last minute. Guess this means I have to do another #introduction

Gonna try to be more active on the Fediverse this time. I'd like to spend more time sharing in people's interests and hearing about their joys.

Thinking of creating a #Circular #Herb #Garden.
Any of these inspirational designs for #Labyrinth, #Mandala and #Permaculture gardens could be recreated using portable pots/containers to allow for seasonal/climatic changes. The final design should allow for ease of access, encourage companion planting, be beneficial to #pollinators and importantly, pleasing to the eye. #Solarpunk
#JohnMastodon was once an ordinary man who fell into a cave full of mastodon skeletons whilst hiking, and lost an arm and leg in the process.
As he absorbed their ancient power and wisdom for days, he received many visions of the future and developed preternatural abilities.
When he was finally rescued, he got state of the art cybernetic prosthetics, and then set off on a quest to free social media from the clutches of silicon valley billionaires for the good of humanity. #Solarpunk #Mastodon
