Since #Valkey is in #Fedora 41, @[email protected] and I did a little Valkey segment that will air during the Fedora 41 launch party.

Fedora 41 now uses Valkey instead of Redis due to their shift to a proprietary license. This should be ready for you on a new install, but here is a guide for moving to Valkey if you don't have it yet.

I sat in on FESCo meeting today regarding @[email protected]’s proposal on #Valkey
While the particular decision was deferred for a couple of weeks, it was fascinating to see how decision are made in #Fedora.

Off to Austin for @[email protected]!
I’ve got two (very different) talks:
The first ever conference talk on #Valkey and one about container Linux (featuring #BottlerocketOS and several other great distros).
After Austin I fly directly to Seattle for #OpenSourceSummit where I’ll be at the Valkey booth Tuesday to Thursday next week.
If you’re around at either event let’s connect!

Now that #Valkey is public, I'm also excited to say that I've taken a new role working on the project full time.
This all happened extremely quickly but I'm really pumped to help build this community of open source contributors and users across organization.
(Also I get to talk about HyperLogLog once again!)
