パッションもルーンと同じく「鼓舞」して能力値や技能のロールのボーナスをもらえます。行方不明になった妹を探すために愛情(妹)のパッションをロールして自分を「鼓舞」できる。失敗すると空気が微妙になるのはルーンと一緒。

ルーンと並んで、PC(NPC)の能力値としてパッション(情動)が追加された。ペンドラゴンを連想しますが、無理やり行動させられるというものではない(そのパッションの減少ペナルティを受け入れることで拒否可能)。

実際のところ、ルーンやパッション(情動)の「鼓舞」は、成功で+20%(スペシャルなら+30、クリティカルなら+50(!))、失敗なら-10%なので、言ったもん勝ち、やったもん勝ちなルールとして設定されている。

新版ルーンクエストにおけるルーンの使い道。ルーンが表す状況に合致した場面ならルーンによる「鼓舞」を行って他のロールにボーナス(成功で+20%、クリティカルなら+50%)がもらえる。あとルーン呪文投射の成功率にもなるので70%は欲しい。

新版ルーンクエスト、3rdとの最大の違いはルーンがちゃんと能力値として定義されたことかな。技能と同じく%表記ですが、ルーンが表す状況に合致した場面だと、色々、有利に働く可能性がある。
